To cover this unit sufficiently, this unit will be composed of four topical themes, which overlap but also complement each other: developmental biology - mammalian development and histogenesis, human reproductive biology and assisted reproductive technology; pathophysiology - target diseases for regenerative medicine; spinal cord injuries and age-related disorders, alcohol- and drug-related disorders, diabetes; stem cell biology - embryonic stem cells, tissue-resident stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells, cancer stem cells and tissue engineering and regenerative medicine - technologies utilising stem cells, nuclear programming of somatic cells and tissue-specific stem cells.... -- Course Website
